Birch

Birch is a highly valued tree whose leaves, bark and sap/water has been used for ages in Sweden traditionally for its healing properties. It is great for skin and hair treatments. We are using birch sap and cold pressed birch oil in our products.

Birch sap is the sap directly tapped from birch trees. It is collected once a year for only a few weeks around early spring, before the leaves start to appear. Birch sap collection is done by drilling a hole into the tree trunk and leading the sap into a container via a tube or simply a thin twig through which the sap flows.
